To every writer, storyteller, and visionary who has stepped up to share their work: thank you. Writing is a powerful act of courage. Every great movement begins with a single voice, a moment of profound clarity, or a promise made long ago. For us at All People Live, that moment crystallized through a beautiful, heartbreaking, and ultimately soaring message.
Theresa Manning shared a story of a promise she made when she was just three years old to a Holocaust survivor: a promise to make the world better. She made a move in a moment of deep grief, honoring a woman who stood fiercely against hatred and left behind an indelible legacy of truth.
To honor that legacy, Theresa shared a framework she created to help humanity move forward: The Solution Vortex Problem (Dedicated to Eva Schloss).
The "Solution Vortex Problem" describes the tragic loop where, in our rush to solve vast, systemic issues, we inadvertently create new problems that hurt others. By officially dedicating this concept to Eva Schloss, the goal is to provide the world with a tool to identify these resulting issues and instead engineer "kinder solutions" that promote goodwill, respect, and peace for everyone.
As a dynamic arts organization, our mission has always been to showcase the richness, diversity, and talent of our local and regional community. We believe in the power of visual arts, music, theater, and dance to bridge divides. We realized something vital: the world needs a stage for the stories that heal us.
That is why we are officially launching the All People Live Writing Competition.
This competition isn’t just about flawless grammar or clever plot twists. It is about finding those "kinder decisions" or simply put World Peace.
We are inviting writers, thinkers, poets, and dreamers from all walks of life to pick up their pens. We want to hear your stories of resilience, your ideas for breaking the "Solution Vortex Problem," and your visions for a world rooted in mutual respect.
"God bless the ripples you made against hate as it takes a champion."
— Theresa Manning
